The Land Development Report has been developed to provide you critical information for consideration in development or construction projects on the selected parcel. Please remember that the report uses the most current mapping and data but those conditions may have changed since the mapping and data was last updated. Responses returned by the report are intended to flag potential development issues; final determination of regulation applicability lies with the agency responsible for implementing the specific regulation.
Sewer Information
Properties within Metro Louisville can have one of three types of sewage disposal available:
- Sewers and central treatment facilities owned and operated by the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD);
- Sewers and central treatment facilities owned and operated by a private company;
- A sewage system on the lot constructed and maintained by the lot owner.
If the report returns a response of “YES” for the property you selected, then MSD’s records indicate one of MSD’s sewers is most likely available to serve this property. If the report returns a response of “Yes – Contact MSD for more information”; then the service connection for this property is currently out of service. Connections may be out of service for a number of reasons; therefore, you need to contact MSD for specific information about this connection.
For additional information about the availability, location and process for connecting to a MSD sewer connection please contact – MSD Customer Relations at 587-0603 or email them. If the response is “NO”, you can get additional information about privately owned sewers or on-site systems from the Environmental Division of the Metro Health and Wellness Department at 502-574-6650.
